Cristi Maetani joined International Services as an advisor in January 2008. She assists students and scholars in maintaining their legal status. She advises international students whose last names begin with F--K.
Cristi has worked for the international offices at schools in Pasadena, California and Auburn, Washington. She had the opportunity to serve her mission in Sapporo, Japan. Her husband also served in Japan (Tokyo), and he still speaks Japanese well, while she sounds like a preschooler.
Cristi graduated from BYU in International Studies, with a “Countries & Kingdoms” emphasis and a minor in Asian studies. She loves her job at International Services and especially enjoys getting to know the students and learning about their home countries and cultures. She will graduate soon with a MPA degree from BYU.
