For you to become a visiting scholar (VS) at BYU, you must receive an invitation from an academic department to present, intern, research, or teach here.
When your VS category and the terms of the offer have been determined by your sponsoring academic department, the department will contact us to initiate visa sponsorship on your behalf. We cannot advise you directly until your academic department has requested a DS-2019 in your behalf first.
