Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship
Open to: All students regardless of immigration status or citizenship
Requirements: The Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship is available to students who are transferring from a community college to a four-year college or university to complete their bachelor’s degree.
Applicants must:
- Plan to enroll/already be enrolled full-time in a baccalaureate program at an accredited college or university in fall 2023.
- Have a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.50 or better on a 4.0 scale.
- Have never had a previous enrollment or attendance at a four-year institution.
Love Your Career Scholarship
Open To: All students regardless of immigration status or citizenship

May Law Firm Scholarship Fund

Requirements: The May Firm understands the importance of an education and just how difficult it can be to finance college these days. Robert May, the founding attorney at the May Firm, was the first in his family to attend college! Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholar Program
Open to: Undocumented Students with DACA
Requirements: The Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholar Award is open to a variety of Hispanic students at different educational levels. As an HSF Scholar, you will have access to HSF’s invaluable Scholar Support Services and be eligible to receive a scholarship, depending on available funds.
Applicants must:
- Be of Hispanic heritage.
- U.S. citizen, permanent legal resident, or DACA
- Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for high school students; minimum of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for college and graduate students.
- Plan to enroll full-time in an accredited, public or not-for-profit, four-year university, or graduate school, in the US, for the current academic year.
- Submit the FAFSA or state-based financial aid forms (if applicable).
Lounge Lizard Web Design Scholarship
Open to: All students regardless of immigration status or citizenship
Requirements: Submit a Design or Live URL; show us how creative you are! The web design can be from past or present. Your submission will be entered into our semi-annual $1000 award contest. The winner will also be granted a design critique session with Ken Braun, for any project of your choosing.
Applicants must:
- Be attending a school in the United States.
- Be a student at an accredited school, or be accepted to begin school at an accredited school within 6 months of application submission.
Mountain America Credit Union: "Keys to Success" Scholarship
Open to: All students regardless of immigration status or citizenship
Requirements: Getting a college education can be expensive. Fortunately, we may be able to help you foot the bill. Each spring, we award a number of scholarships to deserving students.
Applicants must:
- Be pursuing a degree in an eligible major.
- Be a member or spouse, dependent child, or legal guardian of a member of Mountain America Credit Union.
- Be currently enrolled in or accepted at an accredited college, university, or skilled vocational program.
- Have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 (C+) during the last three reporting periods.
Maldef Law School Scholarship
Open to: Law students regardless of immigration status or citizenship
Requirements: MALDEF supports law students who seek to further MALDEF’s mission of advancing the civil rights of the Latino community in the United States. In recent years MALDEF has awarded 5 - 15 scholarships of $2,000 to $10,000 each to deserving law students from throughout the nation. Applicants are evaluated for their academic and extracurricular achievements, for their background and financial need, and, most important, for their demonstrated commitment to advancing Latino civil rights in their careers.
Applicants must: be a law student currently enrolled full-time at an accredited United States law school.
The DREAM. US National Scholarship
Open To: Undocumented students with or without DACA
Requirements: The Dream.US likes to think of the National Scholarship as the “Pell Grant” for highly motivated undocumented students with significant, unmet financial need. While they consider your GPA, they place greater emphasis on your demonstrated commitment to community service and your ability to overcome the barriers and challenges that undocumented students face each and every day.
Applicants must:
- Have DACA, TPS, or have continuously resided in the U.S. before the age of sixteen and before November 1, 2017, up to the present time, and have had no lawful status.
- Be attending or accepted to a partner college *BYU is NOT currently a partner college*
Driver Education Initiative "In the Driver's Seat" Award
Open to: All students regardless of immigration status or citizenship
Requirements: The essay contest “In The Driver’s Seat” seeks to have applicants highlight the importance of being a safe and educated driver. This scholarship seeks to reward six students for his or her submission dealing with the importance of being a safe and educated driver. The application is handled in essay format. To apply, submit an essay of no less than 750 words.
Applicants must be currently enrolled in either High School, University, or College. Employees and relatives of National Driving and Traffic School are ineligible.
Jiffy Lube Teen Driver Scholarship
Open to: All students regardless of immigration status or citizenship
Requirements: Now it’s your turn! Get our attention! Tell us about your goals, drive, ambition … your future! Simply write your 500-word typed essay about what drives you now.
Applicants must:
- Be Utah students between the ages of 16-18.
- Be enrolled in high school.
Jiffy Lube Utah “Your Turn Behind the Wheel” Scholarship
Open to: Undocumented students with DACA
Requirements: The Jiffy Lube “Your Turn Behind the Wheel” Scholarship Program has been created to give a unique and early opportunity for high school students to gain funding for college, or other qualified technical and/or professional programs through a scholarship award sponsored by neighborhood Jiffy Lube owners. Jiffy Lube wants to learn more about what drives these students now and where they see themselves down the road. The “Your Turn Behind the Wheel” Scholarship opportunity is open to high school students currently enrolled in driver’s education in high school. The scholarship awards will not be based on a student’s GPA or other standard qualifying criteria, rather each individual will be allowed to express his/her “inner drive” and personal ambition — his/her chance to be behind the wheel.
Applicants must:
- Be between 15-17 years old.
- Be U.S. Citizens, Permanent Residents, or DACA beneficiaries in a Utah high school.
Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund
Open to: All students regardless of immigration status or citizenship
Requirements: Open to high school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate students. The first and most important qualification for a Davis-Putter Scholarship is active participation in struggles for civil rights, economic justice, international solidarity, or other progressive issues. The scholarship committee also evaluates the applicant’s financial need and ability to perform academically at the college level.
RentHop’s College & University Scholarship Program
Open to: All students regardless of immigration status or citizenship
Requirements: To apply, submit an essay under 500 words that concisely answers the question:

ScholarSHPE Award

Requirements: Financial need is the #1 reason why Hispanic students do not complete a bachelor's degree. So SHPE offers thousands of reasons to ensure their members DO reach graduation - 629,000 to be exact. With 170+ scholarships totaling over $629,000 awarded last year, SHPE is actively narrowing the gap in the Hispanic STEM education pipeline.

Utah Jump$tart Coalition Scholarship
Open To: Undocumented students with or without DACA
Requirements: Up to three applicants will each receive (one) $1,250 scholarship award. One eligible winner may receive an additional $500 bonus from my529. The scholarship is designed to recognize college students who can demonstrate a solid understanding of financial literacy concepts and are pursuing a post-secondary education either at a university, college, trade school or similar institution of higher learning.
Applicants must:
- Be a current Utah high school senior planning on entering an accredited college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking student.
- Have successfully completed or currently be enrolled in the General Financial Literacy course or equivalent required course.
- Not be a direct relative of the Utah Jump$tart Coalition Board of Directors or staff.
"Design A Better Future" Scholarship
Open to: All students regardless of immigration status or citizenship
Requirements: Ever wondered just how much of a difference high school students can make in their communities? HonorsGradU will select 5 winners to receive $10,000 tuition scholarships to their colleges. The top one receives $5,000 funding to launch their project into the design thinking cycle once more. We select applications based on their completion, seriousness, and viability.
Applicants must be graduating high school seniors planning on attending an accredited college, university, or trade school in the United States of America. Additionally, students must have met all of the requirements described on this website (https://honorsgradu.com/). Employees of Honors Graduation and their families are not eligible to participate. Submissions must be received before the deadlines in order to qualify for the scholarship program. Mailed applications must be postmarked by that deadline. There are no citizenship requirements.

MPower Financing "Global Citizen" Scholarship
Open to: International Students (J or F Visa), DACA recipient, and Permanent Residents
Requirements: In recognition of the extraordinary potential of these students, we’ve created the MPOWER Global Citizen Scholarship. We’ve intentionally designed this scholarship program to be as broad as possible to match the broad, diverse experiences of international students. There’s no requirement to be an MPOWER borrower to apply!
Applicants must:
- Be accepted at, or enrolled in, a full-time degree program at a U.S. or Canadian school that MPOWER supports (U of U, BYU-Provo, & Utah College of Dental Hygiene).
- Be an international student allowed to legally study in the U.S. or Canada, as applicable. For study in the U.S., this means that the applicant is either a U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, or has a valid visa that permits study in the U.S.
MPower Financing "Women in STEM" Scholarship
Open to: International Students (J or F Visa), DACA recipient, and Permanent Residents
Requirements: The scholarship was created to support women who will use their STEM degree to benefit society. MPower will award one (1) $5,000, one (1) $3,000, and one (1) $2,000 scholarships.
Applicants must:
- Be accepted at, or enrolled in, a full-time degree program at a U.S. or Canadian school that MPOWER supports.
Be an international student allowed to legally study in the U.S. or Canada, as applicable. For study in the U.S., this means that the applicant meets one of these criteria:
- Has a valid visa that permits study in the U.S.
- Is protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)

Atlas Shrugged Essay Contest
Open to: All high school, college, and graduate students worldwide
Requirements: For nearly four decades, the Ayn Rand Institute has hosted annual student essay contests on Ayn Rand’s novels. These contests encourage students to seriously engage with Rand’s ideas through reflection on her profound and influential novels. Students who participate will need to read the book they have selected carefully, grapple with its complex themes, and push the boundaries of their writing ability. By doing so, we hope students will achieve a deeper appreciation for Rand’s literary works and develop a curiosity for the philosophy that underlies them.

- Essays must be written in English only and be between 800 and 1,600 words in length.
The Carrington-Philbert Scholarship
Open to: Any Immigration Status - Entering College/University Freshman
Requirements: The Carrington-Philbert Scholarship program will award a $2500 one-time scholarship to an entering U.S College/University Freshman
- Applicants should be Black / African American
- Applicants must plan to attend a U.S. two (2)-year community college or four (4)-year college
- Scholarship awards will be paid during the month of September directly to the recipient’s school

Requirements: The Desire To Inspire Scholarship is a one-time financial award of $3000 (1st place – $1500, 2nd place – $1000, 3rd place – $500) that is dedicated to recognizing young individuals from historically underrepresented minority groups who are interested in a career in healthcare and are making a determined effort to inspire others in some way, shape or form. ExtremeTerrain’s Student Scholarship

Requirements: ExtremeTerrain is offering two $3,000 scholarships, one for the fall semester and one for the Spring Semester. Requirements: We would like to recognize someone who has devoted their time to improving someone else’s life in their community by awarding them a $1,000 scholarship. If you’ve made a positive impact on your community, we’d like to hear your story. We believe there are many ways to make an impact because even the smallest actions can make a difference. Interested applicants should write a 750-1000 word essay, discussing a time when you made a positive impact on someone or something in your community, and how that experience changed you as a person.
Applicants must:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college or university within the United States. High school seniors who are graduating before the deadline and have been accepted to or enrolled in a graduate program are also eligible.

Requirements: The Running of the Bulls®, Inc. is pleased to announce a scholarship program designed to benefit immigrants or children of immigrants in the United States who want to further their education. It is our mission to help tomorrow’s promising leaders meet today’s education expenses. The Scholarship for Immigrants is granting an award of $1,000 for the upcoming academic year. Candidates are asked to submit a 1,500-2,000-word essay based on the following topic: How will my life change because of my college/university education?

American Translation Association: Student Translation Award
Open to: All students regardless of immigration status or citizenship
Requirements: ATA will award a grant-in-aid to a student for a literary or sci-tech translation or translation-related project. The project, which may be derived from any facet of translation studies, should result in a project with post-grant applicability, such as a publication, a conference presentation, or teaching materials. Computerized materials are ineligible, as are dissertations and theses. Translations must be from a foreign language into English.
Applicants must be an individual or group of students enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program attending an accredited college or university in the U.S. Preference will be given to students who have been or are currently enrolled in translator training programs. Students who have already published translations are ineligible.
Platt Family Essay Contest Scholarship
Open to: All students regardless of immigration status or citizenship
Requirements: The Platt Family Scholarship Prize Essay Contest is designed for students who are full-time students in an American college or university. You do not have to be an American citizen, but you do need to be attending an American college or university during the eligibility period.
Applicants must:
- Be an undergraduate student.
- Not be attending high school currently.
- Be attending enrolled in school full-time (12 or more credits).
"Spirit of Giving" Scholarship
Open to: All students regardless of immigration status or citizenship
Requirements: Each year Wine Country Gift Baskets awards annual scholarships to three well-deserving students displaying the spirit of giving. The Wine Country Gift Baskets Spirit of Giving Scholarship is our way of encouraging acts of kindness, service, and giving so they remain an important part of our future. We are happy to award a scholarship of $1,000 to three winners.
Applicants must:
- Be planning to attend school in the following school year at an institution within the U.S.

Achieve Today Scholarship Fund
Open to: All students regardless of immigration status or citizenship
Requirements: Achieve will be offering two scholarships throughout the year. Gifts totaling $2,000 will be awarded annually. Each semester (spring and fall) one recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship to the institution of their choice. Recipients are only eligible to receive the scholarship once during their lifetime.
Applicants must:
- Be 18 years of age or older and a current student of an accredited U.S. university or college.
- Submit a video or audio of three to five minutes OR submit an essay of no fewer than 800 words on personal development or high performance.
Cards Against Humanity: The Science Ambassador Scholarship
Open to: All students regardless of immigration status or citizenship
Requirements: A full-tuition scholarship for a woman in science, technology, engineering, or math. Identify as a woman in a way that is significant to me. Attending college full-time in the U.S. during the corresponding academic year. To apply, film a three–minute video of yourself explaining a STEM topic you’re passionate about.
Applicants must be a high school senior or an undergraduate college student.
GPSTab Scholarship
Open to: All students regardless of immigration status or citizenship
Requirements: Anyone attending a U.S. accredited university or trade school can apply for one of (2) $2,500 scholarships. GPSTab values the continued growth and perseverance of our communities—which is why we believe that education is a key component in assuring their success.

Scholarship America: Dream Award
Open to: All students regardless of immigration status or citizenship
Requirements: The goal of the scholarship is to assist students from across the nation entering their second year or higher of education beyond high school. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice. The awards will grow in amount each year, allowing students to receive aid throughout their college careers.
Applicants must:
- Be at least 17 years of age.
- Current college undergraduates from any U.S. state
- or high school seniors from Bayfield WI or Cleveland MN
- Be U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents (holders of a Permanent Resident Card), or individuals granted deferred action status under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program (DACA).
- Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school in the United States for the entire 2024-2025 academic year.
- Be studying to obtain their first Associate’s or first Bachelor’s degree.
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).
- Demonstrate financial need.
AES Engineering Scholarship
Open to: All students regardless of immigration status or citizenship
Requirements: Our belief is that achieving a high GPA should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason, we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by an evaluation of the essays that are submitted. Scholarships are intended for future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible.
Applicants must be a high school senior or enrolled in a post-secondary educational facility.
Florin|Roebig Scholarship Essay Contest
Open to: All full-time university students regardless of immigration status or citizenship
Requirements: The U.S. presidential elections bring out the largest voter turnout every four years, but midterm elections can have just as big an impact on the direction the country takes. When midterm elections arrive in November, young adults around the nation have the opportunity to help shape the next two years, but recent changes to voting laws may hamper participation. We want to hear your opinions in our Essay Contest. Using your first-hand experience as a student during a midterm election year, reflect on how midterm elections and equal voting rights affect you, your campus and your community. In your essay, discuss the topic, “Equal Voting Rights During Midterm Elections,” addressing one or more of the questions below:
- What influenced your views about the midterm elections the most, and how did sources like social media, news outlets or campus events shape what you believed or how you planned to vote?
- How have current events or recent changes related to voting laws, registration rules or access to polling places shaped how easy or hard it is for you and your peers to vote?

Boster Bio Scholarships for Young Scientists of Excellence

Requirements: Boster is proud to provide an annual scholarship to students with an interest in pursuing or continuing a 2 to 4-year academic program related to Biology or Biotechnology. The Boster Bio Scholarships for Young Scientists Of Excellence will provide $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school or college students to aid their scientific research in college.
Applicants must:
- Provide proof that they have been accepted into a research position in a biology or medical-related lab on a full-time or substantial part-time basis (minimum 9 credit hours worth of research work for the next two semesters).
- Obtain and submit a letter of recommendation – either from a teacher/ tutor/ or lecturer who knows the student well or from an employer in a relevant healthcare services niche (must be signed and on letterhead to be accepted).
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.40 on a 4.0 scale.
Dirk Derrick Car & Truck Accident Injury Scholarship
Open to: All students regardless of immigration status or citizenship
Requirements: The Dirk Derrick Car & Truck Accident Injury Scholarship is an award for any undergraduate student in the United States who has had his or her life altered due to an injury from a car or truck accident, be it their own injury, that of a loved one, or an influential individual. Students applying must submit an essay where you explain, present, inspire, or otherwise convince us as to why you deserve to win this scholarship. There are no conditions or outside requirements for this essay.
Applicants must be enrolled or plan to be enrolled in an undergraduate program for the upcoming school year.
Joanne Norris Scholarship
Open to: Undocumented students with or without DACA
Requirements: Joanne Norris was an award-winning journalist. Her career began in the 50s, at a time when relatively few women were journalists, and she dedicated her exploration to go beyond "puff piece" assignments into deeper concerns, including sexism, racism, and bias. Joanne understood that honest journalism means examining a story from every angle, unafraid of where the facts will lead, and presenting it with respect for the immutable value of the truth. Students must write and submit a short essay.
Applicants must:
- Be a high school senior.
- Currently have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
