F-2 Employment Restrictions

Employment for F-2 dependents may not be authorized under any circumstances as stated in 8 CFR 214.2(f)(15)(i)—Employment. The F-2 spouse and children of an F-1 student may not accept employment.

An F-2 dependent may change status to F-1 and become eligible for employment.
